I've loaded a copy of the PowerPoint slides from last night's presentation into our Members' Area (under Workshops..Astro-imaging) - but these are just the words and pictures: the full multi-media experience of sounds, music, videos, demos (and even taste!) was only available in the "stage version"! ;)

Many thanks to you and Joe

The stage version should be on the WestEnd ;)

Well organsied, timed and well presented. Lots to think about. Just one thought, for members who do not yet have a CCD camera is there an AVI they can play with in registax ready for the day they have their own CCD camera and AVI

Regards

Bill

Yes Bill, I'll be bringing three example AVI streams (one each of Mars, Jupiter & Saturn) along to our Tutorial session on 12-Jun. These are big files (120 to 220Mbytes), but we can soon copy them from a USB stick onto the hard-drive of any laptops which you bring along, and I can write a few copies onto CD-ROMs for distribution too.

The Society already has two of the Philips SPC880 webcams available for loan to Members:

and I hope to add a flip-mirror assembly to one of these later in the year (assuming we can find one on the trade stands at Kelling Heath).

Hi Ross

If you need an CD's let me know as I have a few spare. Checked the local suppliers and these flip mirrors seem hard to get.

Catch you later

Bill

I bought mine mail-order from the USA.
But we often see them at Kelling Heath - Carl got one (for around £30 I think?) a couple of years ago - it didn't have quite the right fitting but Brian made an adaptor for him.

Hi Ross

I have registax 6 and will put them throught next to see if it's anymore difficult
