Hi I'm Andy & i came to your meeting on Tues 7/01/14 for the first time, I was met by a gentleman with white hair who then ushered me in the kitchen and gave me a cup of tea then after we went into the meeting room where i met a few other people, I enjoyed the whole night immensely.
My intrests lie with astrophotography and imageing I don't have a telescope (yet) but I have taken a few shots with my dslr (1100d) which i stack with dss but after that i don't have a clue
anyhow looking forward to the next meeting see you all soon

Welcome Andy, and thanks for your feedback on Tuesday's meeting (I too thought that the mixture of indoor and outdoor activities worked really well).
There are quite a number of astro-photographers in the Society (ranging from newcomers like yourself to experts with >50 years' experience), and most of them are using Canon DSLR cameras, so you won't be short of advice!
And looking at our programme over the next few months: http://www.boltonastro.co.uk/calendar/ there should be lots of interest for you there (particularly the next workshop session on 18-Feb).
