I'm having problems trying to get a perfect balance. in the image below I have the clutches disengaged and it stays in that position but if I tilt it ether way it drops or tilts backwards, it doesn't matter where I slide the dovetail bar along the clamp it's always the same. It doesn't seem to effect my goto or tracking. This setup is for solar with a ZWO 178c, quark, and diagonal. I can't remember why I have this configuration I think I couldn't achieve focus having a straight optical train.

In the next image I have perfect balance using the Extreme, flip mirror, but I had to make a counter balance that's fitted to the dovetail clamp and the scope will stay in any position

I bought a SW star adventurer counter balance kit and a 7/8 x 150mm bar, made 2 blocks to fit on both ends of the clamp drilled and tapped them out but found the 1kg weight was way over the top so had a 1 lbs SS weight made.
I'll have to have another play around with the quark configuration whenever the sun comes out.
The only disadvantage I can see is that it might put some stress on my motors but that would flag up on my hand controller.
