Well, the first night went well with the new HEQ5 purchased today, easy to setup and and align, tried to setup the polar scope but I need more time to understand how best to use it.

Managed to grab some avi's of Venus, Mars and Saturn as the tracking was really good and the mount was very stable allowing easy focus.

Once the scope and counter weights where off it was easy to move and put away.

Will keep you all posted and will probably need some help in using the polar alignment and polar scope

Sky-Scan EQ3-2
Celestron C8
SkyWatcher 80ED Apro
Sky-Watcher Skymax-127 SynScan AZ GOTO

Have you tried polar alignment on YouTube. There are some useful vids on there, especially one by Astronomyshed that takes you through step by step including balancing the scope etc. Worth checking out.
