Received this today regarding Comet X1 which has suddenly brightened to mag 8 just like Comet Holmes did. It is a morning object. Check out the image by Nick James.

The coma diameter measured on the same basis has increased from 203 to
264 arcsec in 2d. At the comet's distance of 2.95au this corresponds to an increase in projected diameter of around 65,000 km/day.

Yes, it's about mid-way between M3 and M53 at the moment. In fact with a 50mm lens you could probably get it in the same field as them and Comet 2P/Encke.
