Re: iris users
Andy,
Sounds like a Windows issue. Make sure the iris folder has read and write enabled.

You should select the folder where your files are saved as the "Working Path" in the File.. Settings menu: See also this step-by-step primer:DRatledge wrote:Make sure the iris folder has read and write enabled.

Re: IRIS under Win8
I've just been working with Andy on Skype and we've got it sussed: he's made a new working folder C:\IRIS working\ and the files will save OK in there.
So it probably was a file permission issue with Win8?
Incidentally, the default "modern" version of Skype which installs under Win8 doesn't support Share Screens - he needed to install the "normal" Windows-desktop version instead.

Hi finally, with the help of your good selves, i managed to drag my way through Iris ( took me 3 hrs) but in the end i ended up with an image of m108 & m97, but while i was messing with controls i did something and the picture went all over exposed and the the undo button didn't work ( should of saved it when i stacked the shots) hopefully i will be ready to produce some better shots after i have been to kelling heath in sept, once again thank you

Re: iris users
Hi. by coincidence. I did M108 & M97 this week and put it on the gallery. I'm getting there very slowly with IRIS having had lots of help from several members Still a way to go but I just wondered whether your loss of image had anything to do with the sliders which are only an indicator and won't alter the file. The bottom one needs to be to the left of the top one. Bill
