At Kelling Heath this year we had a chat to guy who had converted several Canon DSLRs to monochrome (one or two even successfully). This has potentially huge gains in sensitivity for narrowband imaging such as H-alpha. However rather than a do-it-yourself approach, a couple of company's are now offering the conversion i.e. removing the bayer colour filters from the front of the sensor. Below is one in Holland I came across - needless to say I have no connection or even knowledge of them but it is indicative of what will perhaps become a trend!
For those interested in imaging and image processing with DSLR, CCD, webcam or film.
