Kelling Heath Light Pollution

#1 Post by DRatledge » Tue Oct 15, 2013 11:49 am

Evident at this year's Star Party was the worsening light pollution. Below is the raw stack of just 4 x 5 minutes exposures shot straight up. The glow to the left is Sheringham, the glow to the right is Holt. Tesco has opened in Sheringham and Holt looks likely to follow with a Tesco of its own plus a "High Tech Business Park" as well.
The site is fabulous and a huge improvement on Lancashire but the pristine night skies seem under threat and only likely to get worse.

Arizona looks good this time of year Dave - any funds in the society kitty for a bit of a field expedition?
