One of the big benefits of Starless Processing (BAS Newsletter January 2013) is that the full extent of any nebulae becomes apparent. It always pays to keep the background light until the very final stages of processing. The "starless" image below, of the Flaming Star nebula, is in the very early stages of processing and shows that most of the area has some nebula present.
