Very bright supernova Sn2019NP in NGC 3254 is now visible - it only took 100 million years for the light to get here.
This is one raw image (no calibration) taken last night with 4 inch apo and Canon 60D. Looks around 13th mag and is actually brighter than the core of the whole galaxy. Should be easily detectable in the smallest of scopes.
