If you went to Jeff's previous lecture at the School three years ago, that was in the Boys' Division Great Hall, whereas this one is in the Girls' Division Hall, which is in the western half of the campus. Follow the signposts on the night.Bolton School is hosting a free lecture from particle physicist Professor Jeff Forshaw on Monday 27th February 2017 at 7.00pm in the Girls’ Division Great Hall.
Members of the public are invited to join Bolton School pupils and staff for this occasion.
Based on his popular science book co-authored with Brian Cox, Jeff Forshaw’s lecture ‘Universal’ promises a journey of scientific exploration which reveals how we can all understand some of the most fundamental questions about our Earth, Sun, Solar System and the star-filled galaxies beyond.
Jeff is a Professor of Particle Physics at the University of Manchester. He works on the phenomenology of elementary particle physics: trying to figure out what the data from the world’s particle physics experiments are telling us about the fundamental constituents of matter and their interactions with each other.
This free event is open to everyone and will take place in the Girls’ Division Great Hall on Monday 27th February 2017, beginning at 7.00pm.
Refreshments will be available beforehand from 6.30pm. Parking will be available in the Girls’ Division Quad, which will be clearly signposted on the night.
