Post subject: Agenda for show and tell meeing on 4th May
PostPosted: Mon Apr 12, 2010 11:38 am
Hello,
has an agenda been decided / contributors identified for the "Show and Tell" meeting scheduled for the 4th May meeting.

I would be willing to show and tell the trials and tribulations i have had trying to collimate my 6" Newt with laser collimator / film cannister.

It may even generate some feedback that I and others may find useful

Do I need to contact someone specific?

regards,

ian

Yes please Ian, that would be very useful - you're not the only one who has struggled with this problem!

I can talk about a "flip-mirror" to help with planetary imaging, and using the "CdC" program to locate faint comets in the sky.

Any other offers of contributions would be gratefully received, or just bring something appropriate along on the night.

Hi Ross,
Sorry had to reply to you on here rather than via e-mail, do not know how to obtain peoples addresses.

I am unable to present / talk/ attend the meeting on the 4th May, my son is going into hospital for an operation and is expected to have a 5-7 day stay.

Apologies again, I was looking forward to it.

regards,

Ian

Sorry to hear that Ian - I hope that your son has a rapid recovery.

We've already planned to have another "Show and Tell" session in November, and we can have a more informal chat at our meeting on 1-Jun?

By the way, if you click on the "email" button under each message, then you can email the sender directly.

Many thanks to all who contributed to last night's session, particularly those who brought along something to share with us. It looks like a good format, and I'm looking forward to the next one in November.

But I must apologise for the fact that in transferring the pictures from Gerald's and Keith's galleries on our website to my PowerPoint slides, the compression which I'd (inadvertently) applied had affected their colours as well as the resolution.
My sincere apologies to Gerald and Keith, and I hope that at our meeting on 1-Jun we can put these pictures up on the screen again, so that you can see them at their best.

Meanwhile, have a look at the originals in our web-site Gallery:

Regards from Ross.
