Post subject: Tutorial, Astro imaging 2 on 9th April
PostPosted: Wed Apr 03, 2013 6:16 pm
The next tutorial will be starting with a brief 20min or so (honestly) talk on capturing deep sky images using a dslr and webcams, followed by a practical session as I feel that this works better than everyone sat down quiet for the duration of the session. I will aim to cover the basics and the importance of tracking using either a telescope mount or just a tracking platform, and the differences, pro's and con's of using either a camera lense or telescope to capture your images through. Following this I will cover other issues associated with long exposure astro imaging such as light pollution and dew prevention, feel free to shout out questions as we go along.
After the talk some of our members will have various different combinations of kit set up for you to look at and ask questions about and various Demo's will take place. If by any stretch of the imagination it is clear outside then maybe we could even do some live imaging.
Feel free to bring your own kit along for advice on how to use it or better your chances with it or indeed just to show everyone else how you capture your images.
