Hi all,
from a purely selfish perspective, i was wondering whether there was any mileage in a bit of DSLR masterclass to aid us with imaging using DSLRs.
I personally haven't really any clue as to settings (except for the assistance from Dean), what to turn off from default when imaging different objects, ISO settings for planets, DSO's etc. My personal opinion is that we're building knowledge of the remaining components, i.e. mount, scope & software that im missing a trick with the lack of basic camera skills needed for capturing astronomical images that it may be worthwhile in dedicating a session to it one Tuesday evening.
It would assist me & i'm sure other new members in enhancing our knowledge.
Cheers
Andy

No reason why we can't add it to the list.

I choose to image with an 11" SCT Celestron in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard......

Sounds like a good idea to me, I have to rely on the poke and hope technique using manual controls on a DSLR.

I'd definitely attend it. You can never learn enough and I still have loads to learn.

I am sure that plenty of the members who enjoy imaging would attend also.

Cheers
