Below is the raw stack of last week’s image of the California Nebula. It gives an idea of how much light pollution we have to suffer here in Lancashire. IRIS is going to be tested to the full to extract a nebula from this!

A couple of night's work and the nebula is beginning to appear out of the fog. This is just the red channel. The green and blue channels are next so still a lot of work to be done. Finally it will be the star layer.
