As discussed before this evenings 'beginning in astronomy' talks we are able to offer a service of printing astrophotos onto canvas for a relativley cheap price. You could have a print of one of your own shots or choose one from the gallery. If one from the gallery is chosen it will have the captors name on the bottom of the print.
These are printed out then stretched onto a frame for you and are ready to hang as soon as you recieve it.
If anyone would like to use this service either use this forum or mail me directly for more details.

Following on from the brief introduction before last meeting.....
www.Astrocanvas.com is now live and up and running and as mentioned it is a JOINT venture between myself and the society (didn't feel I pointed this out on properly on Tue evening), a percentage of every canvas sold will go towards new equipment for the society.
It may be just another site of interest to few people but it may do really well, who knows until you try. I am going to start pushing the site shortly by means of advertising on the net, twitter, facebook (thanks Matt) etc and start battering the emails off to different societies throughout the country to try and drum up some interest. If anyone else has any ideas how to promote the site please let me know.
The site can be added to by anyone, if you feel you have an image or a few images that you would like to add to the site I can create you a gallery and add them in no problem just let me know and send me the image/s. Also, I could do with a few articles on astrophotography, how to, equipment needed etc and I just dont have any spare time at the mo to type some up, so if anyone would like to scribble something together to add to the site I would be most grateful and full credit will be given.
Thanks once again goes to David for the use of his images, the site wouldn't exist at all if it wasn't for those.
Fingers crossed the site will do well
Dean

Dean,

I'll piost the link on my Facebook page as I have quite a few astro buddies on there. Could even see if my brother-in-law could add it to his website also.

Any free advertising is always a plus.

Cheers

Lee

The site is growing by the day, with different ideas as well as new images, keep them coming and thanks for your enthusiasm.
