In answer to a question which was asked last night...
If you need to contact another Forum Member directly by email, go to our Members page:
http://www.boltonastro.org.uk/Forums/memberlist.php
where you'll find a link for each user.
Note that as we're up to 43 Forum users, the list spreads over two pages.

But this page is only visble to Registered Members when logged in, not to the general public.

I'm confused. The e-mail column is empty in that list and if I click on someone's name, I still don't see the address.

Other forums I am on have private messages for contacting users. Is this feature disabled?

OK Antony, it seems that you and Ian are getting the information filtered differently to me - I'll ask Carl to investigate.

Private messaging has been enabled, along with being able to email directly to one another.

I'm hiding the email address out of courtesy for those that want access to the member’s area but not really interested in the forum or being contacted. Its also disabled by default, so im guessing it was for a reason

But still you can email one another and trade addresses.

It looks like it was all switched off as part of the default install

Enjoy and play nice 8-)

Regards

Carl
