Welcome John,
Glad the viewing evening was useful. First clear viewing night we have had for ages.

Some impressive kit you have already. I am guessing (from your equipment) that probably planetary is what your imaging interest is? Your Canons should be excellent on Jupiter using either live view capture or video crop mode and the alt-az mount fine. More detail under "Using video with the 7D" in the Astrophotography Forum. Apologies if you are already up to speed on this. Deep-sky stuff is a lot harder and really needs an equatorial mount. The 5D will be awesome for that - full frame and big pixels.

Looking forward to some impressive images in the Gallery soon!
