Saying hello

Post by Amartin » Sat Feb 25, 2012 1:02 pm

Hi all,
I've attended the last 3 meets (incl the seminar on proving einstein's theories). I've started out fairly modestly after becoming seriously interested in astronomy since the brian cox effect swept the nation!
So far I've got turn left at orion as my bible, a pair of 10x50 bino's & bags of enthusiasm!!!
I recently acquired a 6 inch newtonian skywatche reflector which Ross kindly showed me how to setup on tuesday. As of last night I managed to see jupiter & a couple of its moons-which blew me away. Also a very fuzzy venus.
Thats about it really.
Cheers
Andy

Well done Andy. :)
I know that you're trying to sort out a motor-drive for your EQ3 - you'll find it a lot easier once that's fitted - then you won't have to chase those planets across the sky!
