I caught this Horizon programme on BBC4 last night:

I think that it may be a repeat from 2012, but I don't remember seeing it then, and in any event it's well worth a second look.
Aside from appreciating how much was achieved by those probes, built with the relatively primitive electronics & computers of the mid-70's, it's amazing to compare the best pictures of Jupiter & Saturn from the pre-Vogager era (taken with the best ground-based telescopes of that time) with those that we can now obtain using small 'scopes in our back gardens!
