Post subject:  73P - the comet with a split personality!

Comet 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann is a famously fragile object.

During its 1995 pass it split up into more than a dozen fragments, and at its previous return in 2006 I was able to image the two brightest (designated "B" & "C") from Bolton.

And on this pass, earlier this week another fragment was seen to split off.
It's only visible from the Southern hemisphere, so I needed to use the iTelescope T17 at Siding Spring (in Australia) to get this image:
