About a quarter mile wide (400 meters) – round and dark – 2005 YU55 will be 198,000 miles (319,000 kilometers) from Earth’s surface. It will be closer than the orbit of the moon.
But it will be really faint (11th magnitude) and low in the SW sky, so not much chance of seeing it through the clouds!
